Thanks to the support from Ministry of Electronics & IT under the Capacity Building in Unmanned Aerial Systems, we have been reaching out to multiple institutions within Goa and other states.

Today marked the first day of the Indo-French Workshop on Marine Science and Technology organized by us with École navale. Inaugurated by Director Prof. B.K. Mishra, the workshop features participation by multiple French Institutions and is supported by IFCPAR/CEFIPRA . #BlueEconomy

Day 2 of the Indo French Workshop on Marine Science & Technology, supported by IFCPAR/CEFIPRA, had technical presentations,  visit to IIT Goa labs, and a session on academic and research opportunities in France for students & faculty conducted by Consulate general of France in Mumbai B.K. Mishra India in France

Day 3 included policy discussions on student & faculty mobility,  joint  degree programs, participation in next #SeaTechWeek etc. All the French partners were enthusiastic in contributing to our progress in #BlueEconomy B.K. Mishra NITI Aayog India in France

The Center for Drone Applications concluded a 5-days bootcamp(iitgoa.ac.in/cda/bootcamp8/) on 12 July. Prof. Dhirendra S Katti, Director graced the valedictory function. He highlighted the importance placed by IIT Goa on outreach activities for students from all over India. [1/2]

A notable outcome of the bootcamp(iitgoa.ac.in/cda/bootcamp8/) was MoU between NCET Bangalore and IIT Goa to help NCET build and operate a Drones Lab and run related courses with guidance from IIT Goa. [2/2]

Interesting times ahead for Computer Science and Engineering faculty, students and staff to contribute in this area.

It was wonderful organizing this workshop together with Shri {{{Sundeep Nayak}}} , Professor of Practice, Prof. B.K. Mishra , Founder Director IIT Goa and my faculty colleagues. A different experience but a good one. Computing has a role here as well.

It is great to see that the efforts of the past two years have come to fruition. The joint dual degree will further contribute to Indo-French relations in academics and research. Prof. B.K. Mishra and Prof. Manell Zakharia from École navale laid the foundation 5 years ago.

It was an interesting talk on "mind wandering" by mvugt - combining knowledge & methods in neuroscience with tools and methods from electrical engineering and computer science and engineering.

Our long term goal is turning this idea/lab demo into something that can be used in a product. #Medical #devices hold promise for innovation and new approaches.

There is always something interesting to learn when interacting with experts outside one's own research domain.

It was a good occasion to interact with other stakeholders of the Swayaan project of Ministry of Electronics & IT coordinated by C-DAC India.

A truly multidisciplinary workshop. Good to represent Computer Science and Engineering both as an organizer and a participant. CSE and EE/ECE play a major role in electronic waste disposal and tracking, whereas Chemical, Materials and Metallurgy drive the extraction methods.

It was wonderful to attend this conclave organized by Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur and understand the activities conducted and challenges faced by #IITs in internationalizing higher education and research. We discussed our strong collaboration in #France and our Dual Degree Masters with ENIB.

As part of my continued role with the Center for IT Services at Indian Institute of Technology Goa, it was good to see staff members participate in the quiz on #CyberSecurity, #CyberSafety and cyberhygiene. In today's cyberworld, cyberawareness in academic institutions is increasingly important.
