We had great fun leading Royal Ballet & Opera Schools Cultural Champions national teacher training University of Huddersfield Module 4 :Developing cultural leaders in the arts, external collaboration & partnership working were key themes.

Our Cultural Heart Kirklees Libraries Festival ♥️ We’re working on creative public consultation. Discussing the new library being built in town & what the community wants from the space. Create, imagine & explore Yr3 -workshops collecting pupil voice through creativity.

Creative consultation with young people 7- 17 yr olds from Mount Pleasant Primary school & Woodley School College has been so rewarding. It’s been great gathering their thoughts and opinions on the new library build in Huddersfield & how urban regeneration can meet their needs

We absolutely loved working with the wonderful students Holmfirth High for Holmfirth Arts Fest In our workshop we created huge sculptural flowers . Sited in the river bank, it was brilliant watching the reactions of passers by waiting for them to bloom at twilight. Kirklees Council

What a brilliant year Shape North has had as programme leaders for Royal Ballet & Opera. Developing Cultural Champions in Kirklees has been a joy - teachers journeys, impacts and change made through being part of the programme has been inspirational… Hats off to them all 👏👏

Words and walking : A wonderful poetry, singing walk to Studley Pike with Batley Girls' High School to celebrate the Pennine Ways ‘60 th Celebrations as part of our National Landscapes work. We are moving further along the Yorkshire leg exploring our creative voice.
