Thanks to Maryland Legal Aid & Gupta Wessler LLP for bringing this lawsuit to end the unconstitutional practice of taking our citizens’ property without just compensation. Baltimoreans deserve their homes and their community spaces and to pass them down to future generations.

Congratulations to the amazing volunteers who created the Baltimore Baby Fund and have worked tirelessly to get this important measure for Baltimore’s families on the ballot in November. It’s common sense: a new baby means increased expenses. All babies deserve to have their basic needs met

I support the Baltimore Baby Fund as a proven measure to reduce childhood poverty. This ballot initiative was already certified by the board of elections after months of canvassing to amass the signatures needed. We will do everything we can to help the Baltimore Baby Fund stay on the ballot!

Good luck to all my University of Baltimore School of Law students taking the bar tomorrow! You’ve worked hard and you’re ready. You got this!

Good luck to my friends at the Baltimore Baby Fund !!!!

“The affirmative action of generational wealth.” 🔥 Michelle Obama #DNC2024

Heartbroken at this result. This measure would have benefitted so many families. Regardless of the outcome, I’m grateful to know amazing, brilliant, dedicated. selfless, compassionate and creative folks like Nate Golden and the rest of the Baltimore Baby Fund and Maryland Child Alliance crew. ❤️

It’s our favorite time of year UBalt Law Center for Families, Children & Courts. Each year we bring our community together to tackle problems facing families and young people. This year, we are excited to learn from youth, community leaders, lawyers and other advocates who are thinking deeply about #youthjustice.

A well-deserved honor for decades of the most impactful and important reproductive justice and family policing scholarship coupled with unparalleled care for those most harmed. Congratulations Dorothy Roberts! We are so grateful for your work and your generosity.

If you’re attending The Kempe Center Call to Action, join me for my keynote presentation on How Family Policing Harms Parents and Why It Matters at 10 am EST. #takeaction2024

Had a great time at the @mothersoutreach event w/ Shereen A. White & Shanta Trivedi learning about the Mother Up Guaranteed Income Research Pilot in DC. Excited for their future findings & hope to see these types of programs expand, to help families stay together. Children's Rights

I'm excited for this new piece with Shanta Trivedi out in California Law Review online where we critique charging parents for children's actions in school shootings. It will not stop the gun violence & compounds the trauma for families, esp marginalized ones. californialawreview.org/online/parenti…

In our new essay in the California Law Review, Cynthia godsoe and I argue that charging parents of school shooters is a misguided approach to reducing these terrible acts. ➡️californialawreview.org/online/parenti…
