Thank you RGarrison for meeting with Canada's shipbuilders from the Halifax Shipyard. From our ocean to yours, we know building ships here at home supports families, communities and our economy.

The transformation that has taken place in the yard since the beginning of the National Shipbuilding Strategy is impressive, but not as impressive as what has changed for Unifor members. Boom and bust jobs are now hire-to-retire careers, and you can see the pride the workers

Today, production commenced on AOPS #7, the first Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship built for the Canadian Coast Guard. We're proud to be building this ship right here in Atlantic Canada, as part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy, in support of Canada and our CCG partners.

The future HMCS Frédérick Rolette. The bow mega block has been rolled onto land level to form the fifth Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship. 1,000 tonnes of steel, created through thousands of hours of work by over 2,300 teammates. We are proudly building ships for Canada.

Here is our response to David Pugliese of Postmedia's inaccurate article he wrote on August 15, criticizing the recent investments from the federal government to the NSS. You mess with one Shipbuilder...you mess with us all. ⚓️✊️ google.ca/amp/s/ottawaci…

It’s launch day for the future HMCS Frédérick Rolette. The fifth Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship is in position to be floated off the barge. We are preparing to launch AOPS #5 later this afternoon.

I had such a blast speaking with students about the opportunity to work in the Marine Sector in a unionized workplace with Unifor MWF Local 1. At the Halifax Shipyard, the opportunities are endless, and women are dominating in their respective field.

I could not be more proud of the work we get to do. I am so grateful every day to have the opportunity to represent the best Shipbuilders in the country. I can't wait to see these ships come to life. The River Class Destroyers will be epic⚓️

We have built a workforce and revived an industry from the ground up! We will build all 15 Destroyers and will continue to build and maintain future ships, at home in Halifax! #canlab #cndpoli
