Bruce Liu will join us on 6 & 8 September for our 145th Anniversary & Season Opening concerts, replacing Hilary Hahn who is suffering from a double pinched nerve. We are very grateful to Bruce Liu for stepping in at short notice, & wishing Hilary Hahn a speedy recovery!

We’re looking forward to welcoming Matthias Goerne back to Shanghai as our Artist in Residence! Did you know that his first instrument was actually the cello? However, after performing a solo in a children’s opera house choir, he knew that singing was what he wanted to do! 🎤
