👉John Swinney said that he was sure Ministers would meet those worried about pylon plans. This hasn't happened. ❗️Gillian Martin has met with developers, but not meeting residents with concerns would be a breach of the Ministerial Code. He must compel his Ministers to act. 👇

This complete nonsense, plus the Gov’s other anti-farmer anti-rural policies just shows their complete indifference to our farming sector. We already import ~40% of our food. This will ⬆️ costs, ⬇️ production & make us even more reliant on imports.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…

Loving Shenzhen so far! City’s clean, people are incredibly friendly, and it’s so much cheaper than the UK. Teacher training’s almost done, can’t wait to dive into the next chapter here!

The Trump administration is now openly out to ditch Zelensky and replace him with someone more pliable. On that the White House and the Kremlin are as one. On Ukraine the US is now Russia’s ally.

Another reminder of the ongoing threat we face from Russia. Hostility and aggression from Putin is not just directed at Ukraine. It is why we must maintain our support to Ukraine as they defend themselves from a shared adversary. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Russian missiles keep relentlessly falling on Ukraine, bringing more death and more destruction. Once again, Putin shows he has no interest in peace. We must step up our military support – otherwise, even more Ukrainian civilians will pay the highest price.

In January Trump told Putin to stop the war. In March he told Hamas to release all the hostages. In his State of the Union speech he told Greenland to become part of the United States. He's told Canada to cede the Great Lakes. He's told China to surrender on tariffs. No-one has.

Our social contract is broken. Fixing it won’t be popular, or easy. But if we get it right, it could unlock the growth our country desperately needs. Me for the Financial Times 👇
