“He’s been a drain on our criminal justice system and we’re happy he’s off the streets of Indianapolis today,” said IMPD Capt. Shane Foley. I’m so proud of the work our officers and detectives did to get charges on this guy and get him in custody.

Practicing for beep baseball has be interesting and fun. I’m looking forward to playing the game and seeing if we are able to score. I didn’t say “win”…just score.

I didn’t realize how much fun I would have playing beep baseball. The players, coach, supporters, and umpire were all great. I hope we can play again next year.

I am so grateful for the control operators, dispatchers, and supervisors who do so much behind the scenes to help our officers do their job and work to keep them safe.

So proud to have officers like Officer Miles on North District and on IMPD. Police work is not just about protecting and catching criminals…it is most certainly also about service. Great job, Officer Miles!

One kid asked me today, “Did you ride your bike to school too?” My answer was, “Yes I did.” Days like this are stark reminders of why I do this job.

This was so much fun. The kids were so inquisitive and were to happy to have a police officer read to them.
