It's important to teach your kids how to interact with those that have unique needs. 5 things to remember: They're made in the image of God. They have extreme value. They don't need your pity. They're not scary or dangerous. Their feelings matter too.

Characteristics of Jesus that we don't mention enough: He must have been fun, kind, and approachable. How do we know that? Children flocked to Him. Kids don't run to mean folk. They run away from them.

There's a cliché: "God gives children with special needs to special parents." I can tell you first-hand that it's not true. Special needs parents are just normal people in constant need of a special God. Sometimes we struggle, sometimes we celebrate. But, we always need Jesus.

The reason a lot of people don't think they need a Savior at the end of a sermon is because they never heard about sin during the sermon.

The children of Israel would pray and worship on their way to the Temple. They prepared their soul on the way. They didn’t wait until they got to the Temple to worship, they worshipped on the way. Approach Church the same way. Prepare your soul by worshipping on the way.
