After two weeks of working super hard on prepping for the STAAR test, a relaxing day was much needed! A surprise Pre-K recess had all the kids SO excited!

Surprise Pre-K recess part 2!

It was so sweet of the Pre-K buddies to wish our 3rd graders luck on their first STAAR tests! The kids LOVE their buddies! I want to send a HUGE thank you to Ms. Caisse and Ms. Kammerlocher for working with me to make buddies happen this year!

The kids are very excited about writing their own dramas and preparing to perform them in front of the class!

My afternoon class got to perform their dramas today! I am so impressed with the students writing, acting, and excitement around this project! What a great way to add some fun into the challenges that come with the end of year testing season!

My morning class worked hard on the production phase of our social studies market project! I love giving them a hands on way to practice economic concepts!

Production day 2 with my afternoon class! After a few days of planning, budgeting, and building, students will market and sell their products to one another.

We had a wonderful student teacher today! A baseball themed background, extra recess, STEM Bins, and mum ball made for an extra fun day! I think the kids will want Maddox be the teacher full time from now on…

Field Day is always so much fun! Winning Tug-of-War as a class is just the cherry on top!

My morning class had their market day today! My afternoon class came in ready to purchase products the morning class made. Later, my morning will get to buy from my afternoon class. What a great way to give my students a hands on learning opportunity!

My afternoon class had a successful market day! Many groups sold out of product, made profits, and had a great time! The students did a wonderful job tracking their expenses, sales, and profit! All the students went home with some fun items!

I think a playground picture will be a tradition from now on! My morning class, afternoon class, and even a throwback to my first class last year!

What a great way to finish off the year! We got to play games, eat popsicles, and enjoy our last day together. I’ll miss these kids SO much! 💖 Now, off to SUMMER! ☀️
