During his autism conference this morning, RFK Jr brought on a middle author from the CDC study, who thinks the rise in autism rates is "real." The senior author of the study, however, is on record that he thinks it's a rise in better diagnosis. Interesting divergence.

Answers to a few questions from Nina Teicholz, PhD about incidences of censorship I recently experienced at NIH: 1. My request was denied by HHS to present an invited keynote talk on my ultra-processed food (UPF) research at the Bloomberg Philanthropies annual Food Policy Program

Curious if any of my followers have used Polysolver? The paper has so many citations, but few of the citing papers have actually used the software themselves.

I've been tracking this data. In March 2024, 3.4m people entered the US by car from Canada. In March 2025, just 2.5m, a 25-30% reduction. We're seeing an impact of declining US-Canada relations in hard data, in other words, not just polls, etc. data.bts.gov/Research-and-S…

Yes, it's very strange. Doesn't make any sense. I was promised that if I supported RFK Jr. in his Senate confirmation that neither of these siblings would be working under HHS or in an appointment (and that people much more qualified would be). I don't know if RFK very clearly

I cannot seem to find anything about NIH funding in the "Big beautiful bill". Shouldn't this be stipulated somewhere for an omnibus spending bill? Or will it be covered by separate legislation?

A standing ovation for #CHALLENGE trial at #ASCO25 - first in world to definitively show exercise reduces recurrence and improves survival: “For every 16 people, exercise prevents 1 person from recurrent/new cancer” “For every 14 people, exercise prevents 1 person from dying”

This is a major story from #ASCO25. Randomized phase 3 trial of time of day of immunotherapy infusion. Randomized to infusion before or after 3pm. Early infusion far superior: PFS 11.3 vs 5.7 HR 0.42, OS HR 0.45! Impactful, pragmatic, not costly. This should be a bigger story.

Does anyone else struggle to "see" the big findings in every GEOMX paper? Maybe if spent 100+ hours scrutinizing the data, like the authors, the big finding would jump out, but the way this data is typically presented, I rarely get the excitement
