So sleepy why is it when the sun is up I want to sleep and when it goes down I want to stay up?

Just got home from work leaving for work again in 5hrs 45 yay and i need to sleep and stuff in that time i think the day is to short

Why is it when you need to get up early you just can't sleep and when you don't have to get up you fall straight to sleep???
