This is now getting embarrassing. The $600bn figure is a lie. It’s based on extrapolating the cost of the most expensive nuclear power plant ever and doubling it. It assumes nuclear is at least 5x more expensive than even the CSIRO’s prediction.

Nuclear for Australia has over 110,000 supporters. We’re not an ‘astroturf campaign’. You’re comparing us to known lobby groups funded by industry. We advocate for nuclear power: a source of clean energy. Ed Coper please do you research before deriding our movement.

The Prime Minister has been called out for lying about the $600bn nuclear figure. It’s based on extrapolating the cost of the most expensive nuclear plant ever and doubling it. Even the CSIRO assumes nuclear is 5x cheaper. This fear campaign must stop.

Anyone on face value would oppose a $600bn nuclear plan to power 4% of Australia’s grid. The issue: It never existed and was never challenged by the mainstream. Trickery & deception might work politically but it won’t solve the energy dilemma. The fight for nuclear continues.

Australia has safely operated research reactors for decades. We’ve developed radioactive waste solutions. We have a world class nuclear regulator. And we’re training a nuclear skilled workforce for AUKUS. Yet, we turn our back on nuclear power. It’s time to lift the ban.

Nuclear isn’t politically toxic. Despite their divided politics, nuclear has bipartisan support in the United States🇺🇸 & United Kingdom 🇬🇧. All this campaign proved is that nuclear disinformation campaigns can run unchecked in Australia.

If their arguments against nuclear were so strong they wouldn’t have to make threats. No one would be fighting for it if their claims that nuclear would cost $600bn and be 4% of the grid were true. The only thing the anti nuclear campaign knows how to do is create fear.

Accepting the contention that nuclear in Australia would cost $600bn, a figure put forward by the Smart Energy Council, a renewables industry lobby group. Is like accepting research from Cigarette companies that smoking doesn't kill. #auspol #ausvotes #uranium

The Amazon Web Services CEO challenged Anthony Albanese for trying to shut down discussion about nuclear’s role in powering AI. “I’m okay. The explosion of AI requires a lot of power so that’s one of the things we’re thinking about.” ✍️Sign to lift the ban: NuclearForAustralia.com

It’s a bit difficult to collaborate on clean energy initiatives when you disagree on the definition. 🇬🇧UK Labor & Keir Starmer are investing in nuclear power 🇦🇺 AUS Labour & Anthony Albanese want to keep nuclear power illegal
