An esophagectomy can really impact patient quality of life. Over time, patients functional/physical and ability to enjoy meals improves by 2years postop. Only 8% of patients eligible for lung cancer screening are actually screened. Screen 303 people for lung CA: save ONE life. It’s more effective than colon cancer/breast cancer screening but way less utilized! We HAVE to do better. Rush Department of Surgery #WTS2024 WomenInThoracicSurg
