My goodness; we were told in our briefings Northants Police that the justice system would be made sharp & swift and this behaviour would not be tolerated. And so it came to pass. Sentence is eye watering: much to consider for keyboard warriors who spill out their hate. Not here

Great response today from colleagues Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue to my 999 call re double decker bus ‘on fire’ 2pm Mereway today. After following it up London Rd with spectacular smoke from rear, bus evacuated. White smoke was good news apparently as it was coolant escaping onto hot engine
Sad to hear of death yesterday of Maurice Buck OBE QPM, Chief Constable of Northants Police from 1981-1986. Hailed as the architect of Policing by Objectives and Community Involvement. A true gentleman whose mark on county policing was before its time and indelible. Rest in peace
CC Jason Hogg, National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) chair of workforce coordination committee says on current workforce - 1 in 6 police officers are in training, 40% have less than 5 years’ service & it will take until 2029 to return to the normal percentage of officers being within their first 5 years
