A day before Gov. Newsom releases the May budget revision, transit advocates across the state have hung banners on freeway overpasses, urging him to fund public transit. A banner over the S.F. pedestrian bridge crossing at Utah/18th streets, via Fund California Public Transit.

Last month, Mayor Lurie announced that Waymo will be allowed to operate on Market Street. This is a disruptive change to car-free Market, which has improved Muni travel times by up to 14% and reduced traffic collisions on one of San Francisco’s most dangerous streets by 40%.

Join the End Poverty Tows Coalition for a rally and public comment at City Hall on Tuesday, 6/17. Mayor Lurie introduced a recent piece of legislation targeting vehicularly housed residents. This proposal misdirects the SFMTA’s resources and funding, and reduces riders' trust.
