Today, SFMD A-Shift crews responded to a one acre brush fire near Ironwood and McKellips Rd. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries.

#Breaking SFMD & MFMD are on scene of a 3rd Alarm Brush Fire that has jumped the initial fire break near State Route 88 in Apache Junction. State Wildland has ordered air attack with crews on the ground. Homes are being threatened and the fire is moving north.

#Breaking A second brush fire has broke out in Apache

#Breaking A second brush fire is now burning just east of Goldfield Rd. near Southern Ave. in Apache Junction. SFMD, Phoenix Fire, & Guadalupe Fire are fighting this first alarm fire.

Just after midnight last night, SFMD C-Shift crews responded to a house fire in Gold Canyon. The crews extinguished the fire and there were no injuries reported. All occupants got out safely.

Yesterday, SFMD Brush 261 assisted with a 60 acre brush fire on State land east of Florence. State land crews as well as a train mounted deck gun were also used to fight the fire.

SFMD B-Shift crews are on scene of a brush fire near Ironwood Dr. and Guadalupe Rd. The fire initially started as a vehicle fire and then extended to the nearby desert area. The fire is approximately 2 acres and is currently contained.

Today Engine 261 and Brush 261 B-Shift responded to a small field fire near Idaho Rd. and Teepee St. The fire was quickly extinguished and no structures were involved.

Today, SFMD A-Shift crews responded to a structure fire near Ironwood and Superstition Blvd. All of the occupants evacuated safely and there were no injuries reported.

SFMD and Mesa (Arizona) Fire & Medical Dept crews are on scene of a brush fire near Baseline Rd. & Ironwood. The Fire is in a vacant field and approximately 200 acres were burned. There are no injuries reported and no structures damaged. The fire is under control.

Today, SFMD C-Shift crews responded to a downed horse near the SR88 and Tomahawk Rd. The crews were able to get “Sparky” the horse upright and the horse is doing well.

Seven years ago, 19 brave Granite Mountain Hotshots lost their lives fighting a wildfire in Yarnell, Arizona. Their families, friends and fellow firefighters are in our heart today. Please, take a moment to remember their sacrifice.

SFMD B-Shift crews responded to a structure fire near Apache Trail and Meridian. The crews extinguished the fire and are currently putting out hot spots.

Today, SDMD C-Shift crews responded to a car fire near Hackemore Road. The fire extended to nearby brush but E-262 was able to quickly extinguish it.

Breaking: SFMD responded to a working mobile home on North Ironwood Dr. One person was removed from home and taken to local hospital. Fire is under control.

Breaking! SFMD crews are working a mobile home fire in the 2200 block of N. Ironwood. Two people are being treated for burn injuries. Fire is under control.

Breaking! SFMD is working a mobile home fire in the area of University, west of Meridian.

Breaking! SFMD & Gilbert Fire & Rescue are working a house fire in the area of Tomahawk Rd. & 34th Ave. Residents were evacuated, one with minor burn injuries.
