The Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues continues to engage with Sudanese women civil society leaders and experts in Geneva alongside ongoing diplomatic talks.

The international community must continue to call for an end to the indiscriminate violence against civilians, which is falling hardest on women and girls— as one woman participating stated, “they need to see our tears.”

Sudanese women civil society leaders are at the forefront of the conflict’s humanitarian response, and their lived experiences are integral to ending the conflict— in the words of one leader, “no peace for us without us.”
