The Nasir, Bekri, Tayi, and Lawrence Tribute Trek relied on the fantastic NORTAC throughout. Whether it was keeping the Team connected in the desert, ensuring their safety, or allowing those of us who weren't actually trekking to keep a watchful eye, NORTAC were invaluable.

Last week, we had the final celebration for the Tribute Trek, at Stationers'​ Hall. We have been overwhelmed by the support the Trek has had, from the beginning, and we are proud to announce that, in total, we have raised over £600,000 for ex-SF members and their dependents.

A huge thank you to Al Petrie for joining us at the final celebration of the Trek. His support on the night added something truly special to the occasion - and helped us raise an incredible amount for the Special Forces Benevolent Fund. It was a fitting end to our great journey.

Last week, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of T.E. Lawrence’s passing, our team gathered at his burial site in Moreton, Dorset, to pay our respects. As part of our tribute, we brought with us sand collected during our trek from key locations along Lawrence’s historic route.

James' three golden rules for camel-riding: 1. Never choose to ride a camel with an Omani saddle. 2. There is no right way to set up a Saudi saddle but there are many wrong ways. Get over yourself and grizz it out. 3. Never ride a camel when the alternative is a nice LR Defender!
