Our youngest learners are out exploring! Who wouldn't like to listen in on the conversation with "Science Man Rich" as they sit still & listen, wonder and ask questions? And how about sharing in their excitement as they walk all the way out to the Tunnel Tops Playground!

While we celebrate our new digs out in the park, we should not forget that we have easy access to all the exciting offerings of the vibrant city of SF as well! Here are our HS students visiting Dawline-Jane On-Eseleh's exhibit Third Culture Kid Park Life. Exciting!

Our students are starting the exploration phase of Monster Arc and our youngest students are just rocking it! Look at all their wonderful ideas that were put forward during their first brainstorming session! Follow that with their first hands on project, creating color monsters!

Who has a campground within walking distance of their school? Our HS students figured it out, took action and went camping as part of their introductory weeks! We know these kids will benefit tremendously throughout the school year from forming such strong bonds early on!

Our middle schoolers rocking their camping trip! We have had several bands out exploring lately! Lets just say we are looking forward to seeing how all of this positive energy, camaraderie, curiosity and fun will manifest itself as our school year progresses!

In aftercare our kids get to continue exploring, come up with some new ideas or just wind down after a busy school day! This particular afternoon ended up in the park, engaging with all things slugs & snails! Kids came home with a healthy dose of excitement, dirt and happiness!

Monster Arc Exploration are taking our students in so many directions! Here, a group of elementary students @ the museum studying mythology in the arts. Their own interpretations suggest some really exciting outcomes as we continue our explorations! Hang on!

Monster Arc Exploration: a visit to the Guo Pei exhibit at the Legion of Honor! Mixing such expressive art and exquisite craftsmanship, this exhibit provided the perfect opportunity for our students to explore their inner divas and dive into expression in fiber arts! Stay tuned!

Yet another Monster Arc Exploration in fiber arts: After visiting Faith Reingold's American People exhibit at the de Young Museum our HS'ers set out to utilize their embroidery, sewing and block making skills to make a quilt around the question 'What makes a monster in America?'
