Apples & oranges...getting married at 18 isn't "bad" but it is likely unwise because statistics say a majority of those marriages end within 5 years for many different reasons. Few teens / young adults are equipped for marriage let alone kids.

Thru ages 21-34ish, this is primarily dictated by women who find it hard to connect with men their own age simply because women generally mature faster than men. Then it starts to shift for aesthetic reasons...
