Compassion is critical for healthy D/s. A dom w/o compassion for the sub's wellbeing can become a tyrant. A sub w/o compassion for the dom's needs can treat them like a vending machine that merely exists to fulfill their fantasies. Neither scenario builds a lasting D/s dynamic.

A D/s power structure can be incredibly toxic if misused. The easiest way to avoid unhealthy or unwanted power dynamics is to have extensive, clear dialogue about desires and boundaries. How do you communicate about desires and boundaries in your D/s relationship(s)?
