Sid's first gig with Sex Pistols was on March 21st 1977 at Notre Dame Hall, London. The free show was set up last minute, specifically for filming by an American NBC news crew.

On this day in 1996, Sex Pistols held a press conference at London's 100 Club to announce that the original line-up of John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock would return for the Filthy Lucre World Tour.

On March 13th 1977, Sid Vicious did his first interview as a member of the band. Johnny and Sid recorded the interview via phone with DJ Rodney Bingenheimer on Los Angeles KROQ radio.

On this day in 1977, Sex Pistols staged a signing ceremony for A&M Records outside Buckingham Palace under the noses of the police and establishment.

They also announced 'God Save The Queen' as the first single, however, the band were sacked from the label after only one week.

Recorded on this day in 1977, with Chris Thomas at Wessex studios during the 'Never Mind The Bollocks' sessions, the 'EMI' and 'God Save The Queen' outtakes were released on the 76-77 box set.

On this day in 1977 it was officially announced to the press that Glen Matlock had left the group to be replaced by Sid Vicious. Sid had been rehearsing with the band for several weeks and had already taken part in a radio interview, along with Johnny Rotten.
