As a compromise, I support the bipartisan Border Bill: ends use of catch & release, no amnesty for anyone already here, raises standard to qualify for asylum, increases (screenings for fentanyl & other drugs, detention capacity & number of ICE agents), $650 million to build wall.

Compromise was vital to form our govt. Ben Franklin said, “both sides must part with some of their demands in order that they may join in some accommodating proposition.” The Bill of Rights were enacted as a compromise. Compromise isn't a dirty word nor a surrender of principles.
