📢BREAKING NEWS!!📢 Severn Rivers Trust has benefited from a £60,000 grant aimed at helping get young people outdoors.

🙌 The project will enable at least 750 children per year to take part our education programme.

💪 A fabulously filthy day last Thursday at Wyken Slough and the Sowe Valley where Severn Rivers Trust hosted a corporate day for Severn Trent as part of our Severn Spring Clean!!

We had 18 volunteers altogether who helped collect 588kg of rubbish!

🌊 In honour of International Action Day for Rivers we'd like to celebrate these wonderful posters designed by Caslon School pupils who have been learning about plastic pollution and water stewardship.

🌧️ As part of the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme Demonstrator project, we are installing a suite of interventions on farmland in the Guilsfield Brook catchment, to support flood risk reduction by increasing the time it takes for rainwater to reach our river network.

💦 Renaturalising the course of our rivers is a crucial step to restoring natural river processes within our freshwater environments.

In doing so, we unlock a bounty of benefits, from increased habitat for fish and invertebrates to helping reduce downstream flood risk.

💙 Severn Rivers Trust are delighted to have been awarded funding from the Environment Agency from the Natural Flood Management fund!!

We'll be using the funds for projects across the Illey Brook catchment near Halesowen in the West Midlands.
