Enough fentanyl to kill 2.5 MILLION people was just found in WI. The crisis is out of control, but we are working on it. AB 68 is a bipartisan bill that was recently passed out of my committee. It sets the penalty for dealing drugs that result in death as a reckless homicide

Some added context: A committee can't release funding when they don't have the authority to because the bill containing the plan for distribution was vetoed. Sen. Smith forgets to add that if JFC "released the money anyway", they would be acting outside of their legal bounds.

"The ER was built to help 75 to 80 patients a day. Last year, they averaged 63 patients a day. Last month that number was up to an average of 93 patients per day." This is why we voted to override the veto of SB 1014. wqow.com/news/hshs-prev…

I am excited to see Governor Tony Evers and I are on the same page when it comes to putting our kids first! During this "Year of the Kid", I am focused on mental health and ensuring kids have the resources and support they need to thrive. #StateOfTheState #kids #mentalhealth

Right now, we're one of only two states limiting coverage to 60 days! This is far too short for moms recovering from childbirth. Extending coverage improves health outcomes, saves lives, and reduces costs. Together, we can build a healthier, stronger Wisconsin. #Healthywisconsin

Last week, I attended the Blue Door Open House at the BGC the Greater Chippewa Valley - Lee & Mary Markquart Center. This organization is doing incredible work, providing kids with a safe space to learn, grow, and thrive. Huge shoutout to all the volunteers!

On Friday, I had the opportunity to visit the exceptional team at Rawhide Youth Services Services in New London. An organization that has been dedicated to serving young men aged 11-18 years old since 1965, with a reach of several thousand individuals. Thanks for having me!
