The Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club played a previously rained out game against Petrolia Sr. Raiders in Wallaceburg last night . The final score was 4-3, Jason Montgomery went the distance giving up 9 hits. Josh Powers had 2 hits, both Aidan Fitzmorris and Tyler Kirk each had an RBI.

The Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club play the Sr. Raiders again today in Petrolia. Jacob Williams will take the mound and will be looking to extend our winning streak to 3 games.

The Senior Diamonds travelled to Petrolia on Saturday afternoon to face the Sr. Raiders looking to extend their winning streak. We came away with a 8-7 win. Jacob Williams took the mound and went 5 innings and earned his 2nd win of the season.

Jacob gave up six hits allowing 4 runs (3 earned), struck out 4 and walked 2. Andrew Luth came in relief for last 2 innings to close out the game. Dave Smith, Tyler Kirk and Josh Powers each gathered 2hits each in leading the 22 hit offence.

The Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club return home tonight at Fergie Jenkins Field vs Wyoming 1st pitch at 7:30pm.

On Sunday night the Wyoming Sr. Cattlebarons visited Fergie Jenkins Field to face the Sr. Diamonds for their last regular season matchup. The previous 3 matchups have been close with Wyoming winning the previous 3 games by 3 runs each. The final on Sunday was was 5-2 for Wyoming.

Dave Smith took the loss going 5 1/3rd innings allowing 5 runs(3 earned) and giving up 8 hits, striking out 4 and walking 4. Aidan Fitzmorris lead the Sr. Diamonds going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.

Next up we travel to Tecumseh to face the Senior Thunder AA team in an exhibition game on Thursday, July 25th, 1st pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm. The Tecumseh Thunder will travel to Chatham to play another exhibition game on Saturday, July 27th at Fergie Jenkins Field.

This will be the final game of the 2 day CMBA “Diamonds Day” celebration. Both teams will compete in the OBA Men’s AA Championship Tournament which will take in Wyoming August 23-25.

The Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club will complete the home and home exhibition series with the Tecumseh Senior Men’s “AA” Baseball Club tomorrow night at Fergie Jenkins Field and we will be looking for a split.

On Thursday night we travelled to Tecumseh losing 10-4 after spotting them a 6 run lead in the home half of the 1st inning. On Saturday, we will be the final game of the CMBA 2 day “Diamonds Day” celebration of minor baseball in our community. The 1st pitch is scheduled for 7pm.

The #4 seed Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club will start the WCBA Playoff Tournament in Courtright on Saturday, August 10th at 10:00am. We face the #1 seed in pool “A”the Wyoming Senior Cattlebarons. In the 2nd game of pool play in Courtright, we will face the Corunna Senior Giants the #5 seed.

The 1st pitch is scheduled for 12:30pm.

The Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club begin play today for the last weekend of the season. We play the New Lowell Knights in game 1 of the OBA Men’s AA” Championship Tournament. The 1st pitch is scheduled for 5:00pm at Morrison Field in Petrolia, Ontario

The Chatham Senior Diamonds Baseball Club lost their opening game of the OBA Senior Men’s “AA” tournament losing to New Lowell Knights 6-1. Ethan Boulley-Dekker took the loss going 4 innings giving up 6 runs(4 earned) on 5 hits and walking 8.

Andrew Hasson, Joel Smith and Caden Basso collected 2 hits each, with Basso with the only RBI for Chatham. With a bye in round 2, we play next at 2:30pm on Saturday in Wyoming.
