As much as I hate approvals, I don't feel great about 3074. I do like 7377 better. Except instead of setting storage slots I'd like if the transaction included a call to self after replacing the code, which would allow you to bundle the upgrade w/ other calls.

The best way to convert protocol fees is to continuously sell them via TWAMM. You can allow anyone to trigger the sale of all protocol fees at any time.
