It’s hard to afford your life when your employer pretends you're an independent contractor, instead of an employee, to cheat you out of the pay and benefits you've earned. We call this employer misclassification fraud and Minnesota just passed a law cracking down on it. #mnleg

Employer misclassification fraud harms workers, businesses, and the community as a whole. Thanks to a collaborative effort, including Attorney General Keith Ellison and our labor partners, Rep. Emma Greenman and I passed nation leading legislation to combat this fraud. Loved celebrating this win 💪🏽

This morning, I joined AEDS and Sandy Pappas for the opening ceremony of the Little Africa Plaza. The Plaza will house the AEDS office, an African grocery, retail space and a museum. I can’t wait to see the final project!

Living just a few blocks away, I know firsthand the traffic and congestion the State Fair brings. That's why I authored legislation requiring the State Fair to develop a comprehensive transportation plan. This will benefit neighbors, fairgoers, workers and volunteers alike.
