Earlier today I was happy to join my colleagues in the @bphacaucus at a press conference to highlight many of the important victories in this year’s state budget. I’m grateful to all the members of the Caucus for their work on a budget that reflects the needs of our communities.

Today I was happy to join Assemblymember Karen McMahon at the NYS Art Teachers Association NYSATA Legislative Student Art Exhibit. Many thanks to the talented students who contributed their art, and to the dedicated art teachers across NYS for all they do for our students!

We remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Congressman Charlie Rangel. A friend and mentor to me and so many others, he exemplified the meaning of public service. My sincere condolences to his family. May he Rest in Peace. 🙏

Today I am happy to join community members at the Community Board 8 Manhattan Spring Arts Show on the #UES! The arts are vitally important, and it’s great to see so many local artists participating. My sincere thanks to Community Board 8 for supporting the arts and artists in our community!

Yesterday I was happy to be at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art ribbon cutting for the reopening of the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing, featuring galleries for the Arts of Africa, the Ancient Americas, and Oceania. Congratulations to The Met on the completion of this important and meaningful project!
