A bill from Steve Santarsiero & Senator Nikil Saval would prohibit discrimination based on an individual’s sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. No Pennsylvanian should be fired from a job, denied housing, or excluded from public spaces because of who they are. #LaborDay

I stand in support of the students, faculty & staff who were impacted by the sudden closure of UArts earlier this year. We worked quickly to get a statewide solution into law for better transparency & accountability in higher ed to protect our young people and their families.

Yesterday, I stood with former UArts students, workers, and my colleagues to address the school's collapse and the legislation we passed to prevent it from happening again. What happened at UArts was unconscionable, but we’re committed to ensuring it never happens again.

Today we are psyched to co-host the first ever legislative bootcamp of Capitol Compass. Together we are building our skills to navigate Harrisburg so we can win the criminal legal reforms that end mass incarceration.
