10 years ago today Cpl. Nathan Cirillo lost his life shot by a gunman who then stormed into our Parliament firing his weapon and subsequently killed then Sgt at Arms Kevin Vickers. A sad day in Canadian history, even sadder day for Cpl Cirillo’s family, friends and colleagues

I spoke with an enthusiastic grade 4 class at Glen Falls School in Saint John this morning about our Parliament -especially our Senate. These students are in their second year of studying Civics! Thank you teachers for preparing these future voters and leaders!!
