As elder care costs rise and affordable housing options shrink, NY must support solutions that help families care for aging parents at home. Proud to announce that my bill providing a tax exemption for added living quarters built for a parent or grandparent passed the Senate.

While FDA regulations require allergen warnings on packaged foods, the same protections must apply to prepared & prepackaged takeout items. I'm proud to share that my bill passed the NY Senate last night to do just that—help protect over 2 million NYers living w/ food allergies.

WE HAVE THE VOTES: (((Deborah Glick))) says the Assembly WILL PASS her Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act in the Assembly if it comes to the floor. Senator Pete Harckham already passed it in the Senate. Let’s get it done!

Thank you to labor champions Marina O’Donnell & Amanda Jensen for their support of my bill to ensure prevailing wages for workers cleaning up hazardous brownfield sites which just passed the NY Senate! This is essential work—and they deserve fair pay.

We're facing a toxic crisis from biosolids packed with PFAS, pharmaceuticals & heavy metals spread on our farmlands. This 5-year moratorium is a vital step to protect water, soil & public health, and to support farmers as we find safer solutions. spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-ny…–

Clean energy is one of our fastest-growing sectors—it’s boosting the economy and protecting our public health. Trump’s decision to abandon energy innovation could cost us $1.1 trillion. It’s a reckless move with disastrous consequences across the board. insideclimatenews.org/news/12062025/…

I unequivocally support NY AG James for taking a stand against Trump. NY has led the charge to cut emissions and clean up our air. We’re not going backward—not for a President who ignores the law and endangers our future with asinine decisions.  ag.ny.gov/press-release/…

I condemn today's horrible political shootings in Minnesota and pray for the families involved. Our nation needs a reset: let's dedicate ourselves to love, compassion and respect toward each other.

The Putnam Pride rally this afternoon was a heartwarming celebration of our LGBTQ+ community.  Now more than ever, we must stand in solidarity and speak out for equality, acceptance, and love for all.

.Senator Pete Harckham's exactly right. Less single-use plastics, less packaging, producers paying for their waste. This should be a no-brainer for the Assembly to pass before session ends! Tell your rep to support A.1749 today by filling out this quick form actions.nylcv.org/a/reduce-packa…

We’re drowning in plastic waste and paying the price for it. The Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act will slash excess packaging, eliminate toxic materials, and save taxpayers millions. It’s time to act for our health, our planet, and our wallets.
