Today we participated in the very well attended Fayette County Fair Parade and had time to visit with constituents following!

It was my pleasure to join others from ISDA, BOAH, DNR, Poultry Assn., and IDEM to speak to a large group of agricultural interns on National Intern Day at the Statehouse.

A big thank you to Secretary of Energy & Natural Resources Suzanne Jaoworoski for providing community leaders and me a financial update on the Metamora Whitewater Canal project yesterday.

We had a very successful Rural Caucus at the State Fair on Wednesday. Gov. Braun spoke to the group of over 100 legislators and agribusiness sponsors. The agenda included homeland security, food safety, rural health care, veterinary shortage, horse racing industry,agriculture.

It was my pleasure to present a Senate Certificate of Congratulations to Kip & Stacie Miller on the 25th Anniversary of their Lil’Charlie’s Restaurant in Batesville. Area residents have enjoyed both indoor and outdoor dining!

US Senator Todd Young updated area legislators and community leaders in Shelbyville today. Medicaid and agriculture were among the subjects discussed.

Congresswoman Erin Houchin, 9th District and House leadership, provided an update to community leaders in Batesville on the latest Washington news.

It was a beautiful day for the Congressman Shreves Picnic hosted by Jean Ann Harcourt & Terry Showalter in Rush County.

Franklin County Farm Bureau Annual meeting including a delicious pork chop dinner and a ventriloquist were enjoyed by nearly 100 members and families this evening at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Brookville.

Tonight Rep. Meltzer and I joined Rep. Zimmerman at his home county Jennings County Lincoln Reagan Day dinner in North Vernon. Attorney General Todd Rokita was the speaker and Secretary of State Morales also attended.

Grandparents Day at Oldenburg Academy today including a Mass, Induction of Junior students & a Breakfast. I’m proud to have been with Juniors David & Olivia and Sophomore Sophia!

It was a beautiful evening to watch the Oldenburg Academy Girls Soccer team defeat Lawrenceburg 2-0. I’m very proud of my 2 grand daughters Olivia & Sophia and their participating in their 8-0 perfect season currently!

It was great.celebrating my grandson Mason’s 14th birthday this evening!

Come to St. Louis Church Festival today to play games for all ages! Delicious chicken dinners indoors and outdoors!

I want to thank my grandkids, their friends, and our family for manning our kids booth at the St. Louis Church Festival in Batesvillle today. It was another successful day for the festival to help raise funds for the St. Louis School!

Tonight I was pleased to speak to the Fayette Co. GOP in Connersville.

Today I joined Gov. Braun, Lt. Gov. Beckwith, Corn Growers, & Soybean Assn. and a large trade delegation from Taiwan for the signing of two letters of intent for Taiwan to purchase $6.4 billion in U.S. corn and soybeans over the next four years.

It was a beautiful day for the Versailles Pumpkin Show Festival Parade this morning. Many entries were in the parade while many families with children were enjoying!

Tonight was the Sunman High School Alumni Annual Dinner at the American Legion in Sunman. Over 200 attended, but I really enjoyed our group of seven who graduated in 1966!

Today I was pleased to join Chris Lowery and more than 150 others in celebrating his achievements upon his retirement as Commissioner for Higher Education. I really enjoyed working with Chris on Higher Ed legislation, and will really miss his efforts for Indiana students!
