🏳️🌈New paper alert! Excited to see our paper (/w Christiane Büttner and Sven Kachel) on #ostracism of sexual minorities published in Society for Personality and Social Psychology PSPB!

Want to learn more about #LGB ostracism, but have no time for reading yet another paper? No problem, just check out the press release or the reel with Christiane Büttner !

It‘s always great to be back at University of Basel , particularly to the 10th anniversary of the PhD program #societyandchoice that I attended and later on helped to coordinate! Amazing to see how the program developed in recent years and to reconnect with my former colleagues!

Incredibly proud of Christiane Büttner who masterfully defended her PhD in August. Congratulations and well done, Dr. Büttner - I am excited so see what will come next for you!

Kicking off the winter semester with a visit by Maayan Dvir from אוניברסיטת רייכמן Reichman University today who gave an insightful talk about „Why we should treat sexual objectification as a form of of ostracism“! It was great to have you here, Maayan!

Super excited to see this great collaboration paper lead by Christoph Kenntemich and Christiane Büttner in print! Two studies with Twitter/Reddit data show that people post faster following an unpopular post, possible indicating a need for acknowledgement following exclusion on social media

Interested in ostracism research but tired of reading yet another experimental study? Then check out our paper led by Christiane Büttner about studying ostracism and responses to ostracism outside of the lab using experience sampling!

🚨New paper alert! In a series of studies published in JPSP, our research team led by Christiane Büttner shows that grandiose narcissists report more ostracism - and why.
