Welcome to check out our new paper in Geophysical Journal International. In this work, we introduce a deep-learning seismic phase picker for OBS data using automated labeling and transfer learning (named OBSTransformer). academic.oup.com/gji/advance-ar… Earth and Environmental Sciences

I am honoured to be interviewed by the Seismological Society of America At Work column. If you want to know more about me and my work, please check out this news. Earth and Environmental Sciences Dalhousie Science Dalhousie University

As the chief scientist, I led the OBS (ocean bottom seismometer) deployment offshore Nova Scotia to evaluate the potential seismic risk for selecting long-term carbon storage sites. Thank you to TCA Ocean Frontier Institute for funding this project. Earth and Environmental Sciences Dalhousie Science Dalhousie University

I’m happy to share that I’ve been promoted to Associate Professor (effective today) and have received the 2024 Faculty of Science Killam Prize. Happy Canada Day! Earth and Environmental Sciences Dalhousie Science KillamLaureates

How do earthquakes impact carbon storage in the #ocean? 🌊 With funding from our Institute, Dr. Miao Zhang and his research team have deployed 19 ocean bottom seismometers to monitor earthquakes that can impact potential carbon storage on the Scotian Shelf. 🏷 Dalhousie University
