Today, for our black history month series, we honor Benjamin Banneker. Born in 1731, Banneker grew up on his parents' tobacco farm and later assisted in surveying the land that would become Washington D.C.

At STEM Educational Institute (SEI), we equip underrepresented high school students with the technical skills needed for lucrative careers in STEM.

Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark Ph.D broke barriers as the first Black woman to earn a Ph.D. in psychology from Columbia University. Dr. Kenneth Clark, Ph.D. was the first Black president of the American Psychological Association. The Clarks conducted the influential "Doll Study".

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who stood up for what is right in the eyes of God and Man. Dr. King demanded that we stand by the United States Declaration of Independence's words, which states "all men are created equal".

Our scholars recently had the incredible opportunity to hear from Judene Small-JeanLouis of the Cultural Leadership Fund Cultural Leadership Fund. The Cultural Leadership Fund is Silicon Valley's first venture capital fund composed exclusively of Black cultural leaders.
