Thank you to Central Bank. They presented the Sedalia School District Foundation with $500 for our third-place finish in the Community Blood Drive Challenge. We are splitting the prize with Smith-Cotton Junior High who had the most donors in the school district.

SCHS Class of '23: An application for the John T. Belcher Scholarship can be picked up in the counselors' office. The local recipient of the Belcher Scholarship will receive a $500 award funded by the Sedalia School District Foundation. Deadline to apply is November 10, 2022.

The Sedalia School District Foundation partnered with Chapter BB of P.E.O Sisterhood to provide 18 first-year teachers in Sedalia School District 200 with $100 Visa gift cards to help them get started in their new career. Pictured are some of the recipients.

Sedalia Middle School raised $544 through the Pumpkin Penny War. The money was donated to the Brendan Eisenmenger Student Impact Fund. Erica Eisenmenger and Deidre Esquivel accept the pounds of pennies--and cash--from SMS principal Brett Hieronymus.

Smith-Cotton High School sophomores and juniors: The Fall 2023 Dual Credit Scholarship application is in the counselors' office. Scholarship covers the cost of one, three-hour Dual Credit class at State Fair Community College. Deadline to apply is May 11, 2023.
