The Secord “Eco-scorpions” celebrated Winter Walk to School Day with morning hot chocolate (no waste, bring your own mug) and a whole school community walk! Go Eco-scorpions!

We were happy to welcome fantastic volunteers from Wonderbrand to see how our students start their mornings off with a nutritious breakfast as part of our Breakfast Program led by our superstar nutrition coordinator, Ms. Jen!

Today our students had the honour of attending the musical, Frozen, which was held by the incredibly talented students at D.A. Morrison! The show was unbelievable & the entire cast, production team & leadership from the educators were impressive. Thank you for inviting us! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

A huge thank you to the families of Secord & George Webster ES for coming to the Black Affinity event, led and organized by both School Council chairs & council members! Grateful to have Pauline Christian & Errol Lee present to make it an unforgettable evening for all!

Thank you to Nimkii Brad Howie for teaching us about reconciliation through the land and earth, using our community garden as a centre for our learning. We learned about the importance of various plants and the students showed appreciation by planting seeds and plants.
