Another day, another AGESA update. Ok, that's both exaggerated and pessimistic. How about this, instead: "Hey, who doesn't like free performance?! Currently flashing the latest BIOS on this Strix B650 board to unlock the 105W mode for Ryzen 5 and 7 (9000 Series) CPUs!"

It's official: The 9800X3D's additional 64MB cache memory "has been relocated below the processor, which puts the core complex die (CCD) closer to the cooling solution to help keep the 'Zen 5' cores cooler." These 120W parts were already cool, but now there's headroom.

If you wanted an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 Founders Edition, but weren't able to get one, as usual Falcon Northwest is using FE cards in their systems - and you can probably configure an entire PC for the price people want on eBay for the card right now. Just saying.

I must be getting older, since I actually went to sleep last night instead of the all-nighter I needed to get a review done. Oh, and this morning I found errors in my data (DLSS on where it shouldn't have been, etc.), that will force me to perform additional testing.

The semi-underground OG retro PC hardware YouTuber is starting to make videos again - and is on X now. For reference, he’s been doing this long enough to actually have a working NexGen Nx586 system. And if you don’t know how rare that is, then I’ll tell you: extremely rare.

Excellent video from Gamers Nexus last night - Steve made some great points. Let’s just hope the pricing isn’t a disaster.

$599 for the RX 9070 XT sounds very good, but will go VERY quickly (regardless of cards sitting in retail channels for weeks already). It will be interesting to see pricing for any available cards the day after launch.

I’m not sure what the end game is with RTX 5070 FE embargo lift today, particularly as the FE isn’t launching on time, likely related to that production issue they fixed. All of the 5070 reviews I see are negative, and RX 9070 is tomorrow. Was this launch supposed to be buried?

As expected, a couple of hours in and no RX 9070 XT cards currently available on Newegg or Amazon at any price, and probably very few were sold at $599. Naturally, Microcenter has plenty but they will not ship. Was anyone successful in buying a $599 9070 XT online this morning?

Just finished an hours-long search for something that I never had (which explains why it isn’t here). I never had the non-heatsink SKU of the Crucial T705. I was remembering the Crucial T700 launch. That is all. And I have now wasted some of YOUR time if you read this post.
