Sounds like Kasperi Kapanen might be drawing in for the Oilers tonight, according to early reports. Worth noting — he’s scored a couple of clutch goals in his career, including the OT winner for WJC gold in 2016 and a double-OT playoff winner with the Leafs in 2017.

I had a sneaky feeling when Stuart Skinner gave the net a little ‘it’s go time’ shove before puck drop that he’d be locked in tonight. The netminder now has three shutouts in his last four games.

This is a tweet of a video I made of Kapanen’s 2nd game with the Oilers back in Nov. - he made slick plays to get the puck in McDavid’s hands - just like last night on the game-tying goal. What once looked like ‘potential to be a great pickup’ has officially become: GREAT PICKUP!

Panthers’ netminder Vitek Vanecek went in for a pregame stare-down with Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard. Postgame, he was caught staring again — this time at the Oilers duo hugging it out after the massive Game 4 win.
