Another Violet Hill legend passed today, PJ McElroy. May he Rest in Peace. He played on the first winning MacRory team in 1949 along with Sean Blaney (Capt)&the likes of Kevin Mussen.They went on to win All-Irelands in 1960/61. His grandson Finn played in the 2017 final for VHC.
