I always, and will forever, find it mad how much it’s forgotten how defensive Dublin were in 2011. Pat Gilroy completely changed how Dublin played. Yet ALL the blame gets thrown at Jim McGuinness by so many……

This whole #Tubridy scandal and all it has exposed in RTÉ surely calls for the production of another series of Succession

Given the below tweet about Huw got a bit of interest, it’s worth sharing a photo showing just how small he was at 13. Give them time lads 📈😁 📸 Ger Brett

Paul Mannion on the GAA split-season Eoin Ó hArrachtáin "It actually bugs me a bit hearing pundits and media folk go on like, “Oh, we didn't have a chance to promote these games well,” like this kind of nonsense. The split season was brought in for players ..." balls.ie/gaa/paul-manni…

So good, it has to be commented on. Outstanding look at what Limerick actually do on the field to be as successful as they are. And to add to it, no real mention of the much outdated words of ‘work rate’, ‘tackles’, ‘hooks’ and ‘blocks’. Must read for a GAA coach.

'Quarterback full-back'. Another one to add to 'plus 1', '6.5', 'deep-lying 6', 'sitting centre-back' - all to avoid using the word 'sweeper'. Good old hurling 😂😂

The year will be 2050 and it will be interesting to see if this thread will still probably be relevant…..many nails hit firmly on the head!

Very sad news to get yesterday. Weird to think, I only know Kevin as a man and not as a footballer. He signed off all of our early conversations with, "and you look after my niece", and he could also never not have a good dig at the Barrs 😂Will be dearly missed!! RIP Kevin ❤️

Our fabulous Kevin 💔 Legend of an uncle who always looked out for us & always full of blaggarding & divilment . ❤️ a great memory of him shouting “pick it up like a man Lisa” while training my 8 year old self at Newcestown summer camp 😂 Sleep well Kev 💔

It's not a split season, it's a unified club and county season. Why it's time to think differently about the GAA calendar. Recent piece in The Irish Daily Mail
