Today the latest MBRRACE UK report on maternal deaths has been published. The report announces the latest statistics on mothers' deaths during the period 2016-2018. nct.org.uk/about-us/media…

We note with sadness that maternal suicide remains the leading cause of direct deaths occurring within a year after the end of pregnancy. The devastating social and racial inequalities remain and concerted action is needed to end these disparities.
