Absolutely beautiful day & an amazing volunteer turnout for hedgerow planting! ☀️ Approx 170m of new trees to slow the flow of water in the Adur catchment as well as creating habitat and connectivity for wildlife. Massive thanks to all that took part! See you again soon🌳 💧

RECORD CORNER-Another recommendation from the vinyl vaults is this recent release(and her last) from the First Lady of Folk,Shirley Collins. Archangel Hill crowns a 60 year career which ends here on a mighty coda. Highlights include 'Hare on a Mountain' & 'Lost in a Wood' (10/10)

A sunny bloom #CelandineDay from a local village churchyard. None are flowering yet in our local clay woodlands which are wetter than I've ever seen them - paths are now streams and there are pools of standing water everywhere. And still it rains... #wildflowerhour

Winter in a large garden is a busy time of year despite the challenges the weather throws at us every day. The weather itself creates work from picking up twigs and branches after storms. parhaminsussex.co.uk/winter-update-…

One of the Countryside Warden Team captured this calming video of bats flying around the Discovery Hub on Sunday evening. It is assumed the bats were either Common or Soprano Pipistrelles. 🦇

Brightening up your feed with this golden flower. Well, it is Celandine Day. Part of the buttercup family, you might start spotting these along woodland paths in early spring. Photo: Hugh Mothersole

Our wildlife is at risk. UK Government has approved the use of a deadly, bee-killing pesticide. Why, when we owe so much to our pollinators, are they being put in danger? Find out more and ask British Sugar to help farmers sell neonic-free sugar.👉 wtru.st/back-beet-farm…

Our brilliant volunteers have helped more than 2,700 amphibians across Charlcombe Lane so far in the 2024 migration season - that is more than the whole of the 2023 season. We’ve had some very busy nights and they are still on the move with another month of the season left 🐸

We're on the move again! This Sunday's walk is a 10 mile stomp from Godalming Wharf (parking available) to Winkworth Arboretum, then to Hydon's Ball and back. It's a free walk, but if you book on our website, then we know you're coming. 10.30 am at Godalming Wharf.
