#FindOutFriday A mouth-blown bottle is a bottle that was blown by hand and not a machine. This bottle was formed using a cup-bottom (cup-base) mold, identified by its horizontal seam marking at (or above and encircling) the heel of the bottle.

#FindOutFriday Milk glass was first introduced in the 16th century and became a quick competitor of porcelain. This is a jar made by Elmo/Elmo Sisters, a beauty company founded in the early 1900s. It was likely a beauty cream. Archaeologists have dated this jar to 1919-1929.

#FindOutFriday Soda water was bottled as early as 1806. Bitterquellebottles, like the one pictured here, are some of the most found in the US. This olive-green Hunyadi Janos bottle has been dated between 1870 and 1900 and has a blob finish made using a post-bottom mold.
