Just this Clematis vitalba in London for #WildflowerHour, a plant I never see at home.

I aspire to the level of laziness where even in effigy I am sitting in a comfy chair.

St Mary le Strand, where Charles Dickens's parents were married. I love the single tiny chimney pot.

We went to a nuclear power station (it was the 90s). And Jodrell Bank (less problematic).

In the deepest Home Counties a week ago it seemed unlikely I would be on the west coast of Scotland today, but here I am. And the weather is lovely! 😎

I didn't realise Arran was so craggy.

The air was absolutely saturated with tiny flies this evening, there must have been millions of them, glowing in the sunlight.

It's such a still evening the only sound aside from my footsteps walking home is the occasional clatter of a falling leaf. A bat over the river at dusk; earlier a small flock of martins likewise.

In London, uncommon naturalised(?) cyclamen and a pavement nicotiana, I think N. sylvestris #WildflowerHour 1/2

And in West Lothian a suite of common stuff still in bloom #WildflowerHour 2/2

Always slightly strange when there's mist clinging to the ground but stars overhead.

After weeks of lightly thinning, the first proper leaf fall today, tumbling in the gathering rain and twirling down in the building squalls.
