Protests by Scunthorpe United supporters earned a full page in today’s Daily Mail. Iron fans are rising up to save their club. And it is *their* club, no matter who is on the deed. SUFC is a working class club in a working class town. Fans won’t let a bankrupt tycoon kill it.

Probably the dumbest thing that Peter Swann has ever done in a career filled exclusively with dumb things. He’s never going to get an offer as good as Simon and Ian’s, he’s facing debts up to his eyeballs, and he’ll be hated by generations of passionate fans.

The fact the situation at Southend United FC isn’t all over Sky Sports News is absolutely disgusting. Bury and Macclesfield fans had to watch their clubs die and both times the same thing was said. No fans should ever see their club die. The FA are pathetic and parasites (1/2)

So sad to see a club that I use to visit regularly Scunthorpe United relegated once again. I was in that area on Saturday and remembered officiating England Cricket legend Ian Botham at the Old Show Ground. Where has it all gone wrong.
