Today my prayers and thoughts are for peace in our streets, and especially for the Victoria Park area of Manchester where I lived and ministered for over 20 years, and where I was enriched by, peoples of many different countries, races, cultures, ages and faiths. 1/2

Lovely to join the @SCPEurope Assumption Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Egmanton - and good to meet old friends and make new ones. Lovely Mass and Benediction. So encouraged that @SCPEurope is growing.

I increasingly come across places in church life where members of a majority implore ‘patience’ from a minority that they themselves need never endure or imagine. This is not a virtue - it is an oppression, however much it is slathered in honey and made to smell sweet.
