I believe Bitcoin wallets will need asynchronous event driven request/response functionality to communicate with merchants, services, and other wallets. So a token protocol, like Tokenized, taking advantage of that is not too much complexity, especially considering the benefits.

This is coming for Australians. Citizens being able to freely express thoughts and ideas is seen as a threat. This creates the situation where disagreeing with the gov can directly lead to punishment or targeting. Historically this doesn't end well for citizens.
