Just DNF’d Meet Me Next Christmas which is a weird promotional movie for Pentatonix first and a festive film second. It’s got the bizarrest tone and doesn’t have the made-for-Netflix cosy sheen. Makes The Knight Before Christmas feel like Citizen Kane.

One of my more conservative views is if you’re seeing an orchestra - even if they’re playing along to a movie or if it’s a video game showcase - you should still make a little bit of effort to dress up.

A few months ago, a movie about military officers enjoying a normal life - picnics, parties - as they oversee the mass killing of people around them, won an Oscar.

We DNF’d Emilia Perez and watched Hot Frosty instead, which is not a musical but somehow has the better songs of the two. EP seems unforgivably awful, the hour we saw of it, and HF doesn’t measure up to something like The Princess Switch. Unsuccessful evening!

Was really taken by Silent Men, a Scottish twenty-something’s crusade to work out why he and other men find it so hard to open up and show affection. Released around the UK on International Men’s Day next week. My review for @loudandclearrvs below.
